Information about Summer Resources and Services

Although we cannot be together on campus during the summer, all of our offices are virtually open and available to students. We encourage you to stay connected over the summer months. If you use Instagram, follow @followstevens and @stevensstudents or find us on Facebook to stay in the loop about virtual communities and events.

Please remember that all university policies are in effect during the summer months. Stevens policies can be found in the Policy Library and in the Student Handbook .

You may find contact information for all campus offices at www.stevens.edu . Please review the information below for up-to-date information about offerings and programs in each of our offices this summer.

Academic Support Center
The Academic Support Center is offering virtual individual tutoring services through Zoom for the summer sessions. Students in need of a tutor can submit a tutor request via the ASC website here . For further details on remote undergraduate academic support services, please visit our website.

CARE Team
The Stevens CARE Team is a network of Stevens professionals that provide a support system for students. The CARE Team responds to student behavior that is disruptive or harmful and provides support that a student needs including academic, mental health, medical, or other resources. Concerned faculty, staff or students can share information with the CARE Team by submitting a CARE Report or by emailing care@stevens.edu . Please note that the CARE Team is not a 24/7 resource, therefore time-sensitive emergencies should always be reported to Campus Police or to 911.

Career Center
The Stevens Career Center is fully operational throughout the summer providing services remotely, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Career Center events, including career chats and employer-provided webinars, can be found on the Career Center website calendar and through the Handshake “ Events ” tab. Students are able to make an appointment to meet with a career advisor through the Handshake Appointment System and may access internship and full-time employment opportunities through the Handshake job board.

Counseling and Psychological Services
The Office of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is open all summer and staff are available on weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM to enrolled students. Students who are interested in scheduling a screening with a mental health clinician can call 201.216.5177 during regular business hours. More information including self-guided mental health screenings and self-help tools are available on our website.

Disability Services
The Office of Disability Services (ODS) staff are available all summer to ensure student access to academic programs. Students can make an appointment to discuss possible accommodations for dining and residential services for when campus reopens. Graduate Student Life
The Office of Graduate Student Life (GSL) supports new and returning students throughout the year. In addition to orientation and arrival resources, GSL offers opportunities for student engagement, personal development, and related services.

Health Services
Student Health Services continues to operate remotely and can be contacted via email ( studenthealthcenter@stevens.edu ) or via phone at 201.216.5678. Student Health and Immunization Records should be emailed to studenthealthcenter@stevens.edu . If you have a medical emergency, please dial 911 for an ambulance. Medical healthcare and referral resources are available on our website.

The 2020-2021 Student Health Insurance Waiver will be posted online during the first week of July 2020 should you choose to waive out of the Stevens-offered Student Health Insurance and can provide information about your private insurance. Please contact University Health Plans at universityhealthplans.com or 800.437.6448 with any questions about the student health insurance plan.

IT User Support Services
User Support Services is open on Mondays – Thursdays from 8 AM – 8 PM, and on Fridays from 8 AM – 7:30 PM during the summer months. Students can contact User Support Services by calling 201.380.6599.

Financial Aid
The Office of Financial Aid staff are available by email at financialaid@stevens.edu and by phone to answer questions or discuss concerns. Request a phone call by leaving a message at 201.216.3400 during regular business hours and we will return your call within the hour. Your financial aid advisor can schedule a time to meet with you via phone or Zoom. Email your advisor directly to schedule an appointment:

Registrar
The Office of the Registrar is available by email at registrar@stevens.edu or virtual appointment for the summer. Students can schedule a Zoom meeting with a member of our team regarding any questions about registration or other processes via the Virtual Registrar site from 9 AM - Noon, Monday-Friday. Please note that before or after these set times, your best way to get in contact with a staff member is to email us at: registrar@stevens.edu . Samuel C. Williams Library

Stevens Bookstore
The Stevens Bookstore is available online to help with all of your textbook, course materials and Stevens merchandise needs! Order online and receive free ground shipping. You can also choose to purchase digital textbooks with immediate access so you are ready for class. The Stevens Bookstore has extended the spring rental textbook return to June 15th. Student Accounts
The Office of Student Accounts is available by email and phone to discuss any questions you have related to your student account, payment options, or to make payment arrangements. You can also schedule a zoom meeting with our staff by sending an email to studentaccounts@stevens.edu . Requests for callback can be left at 201.216.3500 and we will return your call within an hour during business hours. Answers to your most frequently asked questions can also be found on our website.

Title IX
Stevens continues its commitment to equality of opportunity and creating a campus climate that supports, nurtures, and rewards educational and career advancement on the basis of ability and performance. If you experience or become aware of an occurrence of an incident covered under Stevens policy on gender-based and sexual misconduct , you are encouraged to report the incident to the Title IX Coordinator and/or Campus Police .

Undergraduate Academics
The Office of Undergraduate Academics is holding virtual office hours for students via Zoom. Students can join the Office of Undergraduate Academics Zoom Video Chat on Mondays through Fridays from 9 AM - 5 PM to speak with an advisor. Staff are also available via email and telephone (201.216.5228).

**Undergraduate Student Life **
Staying connected as a Stevens community is more important than ever! The Office of Undergraduate Student Life is excited to offer a number of opportunities to stay connected this summer. Starting in June, look out for our weekly summer series of online programs, such as trivia, bingo, TV recaps, and virtual parties, as well as some offerings from our leadership and diversity programs. Stay tuned for our summer schedule on the @StevensStudents Instagram account and on DuckLink .

Writing and Communications Center
The Writing and Communications Center supports the Stevens community in their academic and professional writing pursuits by providing online, one-on-one writing consultations in addition to our extensive workshop series. Starting in June, we will present bi-monthly workshops on a variety of topics including Virtual Collaboration, Presentations for Zoom, Professional Communications, and Drafting the Perfect Cover Letter. For more details, check our Ducklink page . Our summer hours are Mondays to Fridays from 10 AM - 3 PM and we can be reached via email at WCC@stevens.edu .

Emergency Information
As the situation with COVID-19 (Coronavirus) continues to evolve, many of us are experiencing feelings of uncertainty and anxiety. If you are experiencing any of these emotions and believe that they are impacting your ability to function or cope, contact a licensed mental health professional immediately. Should an urgent, time-sensitive issue arise on or near the Stevens campus, please call Stevens Campus Police at 201-216-5105. In case of a life-threatening, time-sensitive mental or physical health emergency occurring off-campus, please contact 911.

Stevens Alerts
There is no better time to ensure that you are informed about campus emergencies! All students, staff and faculty are strongly encouraged to register or update their contact information in Stevens Alerts – our emergency text and email notification system, powered by Everbridge. To receive important Stevens information that could be critical to your safety in an emergency, you must be registered for Stevens Alerts. All members of the Stevens community can sign up for emergency text alerts here . Students, faculty and staff who have already signed up for emergency texts should login to update their information . Please add a cell phone number so you can receive text messages on your smartphone and add a second email address listed that is not associated with Stevens. Please also consider adding a parent or emergency contact to your profile.
